As part of its annual holiday “Kids In Need” program, Verizon Wireless recently presented a $4,500 HopeLine grant to New Horizons, a non-profit emergency shelter operated by Community Health Center. New Horizons is a member organization of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and every year provides services and shelter to more than 1,300 individuals and families affected by domestic abuse throughout Middlesex County, CT. The grant, presented at Verizon Wireless’ Middletown, Connecticut store located at 955 Washington Street, will be used to provide gift cards for families served by New Horizons to purchase holiday gifts for their children.
