Welcome to the Child Guidance Center: Shippan

Established in 2019 as an additional Child Guidance Center location in Stamford, this center is conveniently located in the Cove area of Stamford and close to Darien and New Canaan. The Shippan center is where our clinicians treat clients as part of our Child and Family Therapy program. It also is the central hub for our Mobile Crisis staff  who provide intervention services 365 days a year to stabilize critical situations and prevent suicide, violence, and dangerous behaviors. In addition, CGC’s Child Advocacy Center is located here which provides a child-friendly environment in which children who have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect are interviewed for forensic purposes and connected with mental health, advocacy, and medical services.
